Obituary of Ruth E McCoy

Ruth E. McCoy, 91 years old, passed away peacefully to heaven on December 21st. She is survived by her daughter, Carmen, of Rio Rancho, NM, son Jon and wife Kim, of San Diego and grandchildren Ben and Hailey, Granddaughter Sonya, her husband Hector, and great grandchildren Ella, Ava and Austin of Albuquerque, NM and her Grandson Tracy of Carbondale, Illinois. She was preceeded in death by her father Lorain Davidson, mother Elsie Davidson, brother Walter, sisters Kathleen and Sara, husband Earl and daughter Susie. Ruth was born January 10th, 1922 in Newark, Ohio. She graduated from Nursing School as an R.N. and married Earl McCoy at the end of WWII in October, 1945 in Denver, Co. She resided in Sioux City, Ia for many years, until she moved to Albuquerque, NM in April of 1992 to be closer to family members. She worked as an R.N in Sioux City, IA at St. Luke's Medical Center for many years until she retired in 1987. When she moved to Albuquerque she worked at Walmart from 1992 until 2010. She attended Calvary Chapel in Albuquerque. Visitation will take place Sunday evening, December 29th, from 5 until 7 at Riverside Funeral Home on San Mateo Blvd in Albqueruque.
