Obituary of Magdalena Sophia Neisius

Magdalena Sophia Neisius, age 96, was taken by angels on January 5, 2012. She was born October 10, 1915, in Battle Creek Michigan. She was a short time resident of Rio Rancho, New Mexico having relocated from North Carolina to be closer to her great grand-children. She had worked in retail until in her 60's when she became a stay at home Granny. Magdalena is survived by three daughters, Gloria Lovett and her husband Stan of Silver Lake Calif., Patricia Barrett of Las Vegas, Nevada and Carol Spear and her husband Ed of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She had eleven grand-children,; twenty-six great-grand children and thirteen great, great grand children. A recitation of the rosary will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 10:00 AM followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho with Father Scott Mansfield officiating. Cremation will follow the Mass. The family wishes to give a very special thanks to all those who stood by us during her short stay at Vista Care Hospice.
