Obituary of Elijah James Otero

Elijah James Otero, our beloved son, brother, grandson and friend, age 19, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2014. Elijah was born November 21, 1994 in Albuquerque to Cynthia Louise Forwood Otero and Richard Paul Otero. Elijah was an avid baseball player and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He had the privilege to play for Hillcrest, Manzano, Robert G. Cole and El Dorado High Schools. Elijah is survived by his mother, Cynthia Forwood-Otero; father, Richard Otero and wife Sharon; sisters, Amber and Alicia Otero; grandparents, Dave and Catherine Ortiz; and Richard and Barbara Otero; and many other relatives and friends. All services will be held at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, located at 1818 Coal Place SE, beginning with visitation on Friday January 24, 2014 at 5:30 PM, with recitation of the rosary to follow at 6:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM also at the church, with a reception to follow in the parish hall.
