Obituary of Ernestine Francis Prinkey

New Mexican citizen for over 60 years- born in Linton, ND on March 9, 1916 and died April 12, 2012. Ernestine was married to Merle M. Prinkey for 49 years, who pre-deceased in 1997. Ernestine preceded her two beloved sisters- Alice L. Suckow and Louise Kirkemo. She was a mother to two beloved sons- Merle M. Jr. "Buggs"- died in 1967- and Benjamin A. Prinkey. Ernestine has left behind her legacy of son- Benjamin A. Prinkey, two grandsons- Kyle B. Prinkey and Ryan M. Prinkey, two step grandsons- Cody Prinkey and David Martinez, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. A short memorial service will be held at Trinity Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM. Ernestine would like to be remembered for her role as a lifetime Republican and a devoted member to Trinity Methodist Church and was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, Master of Fine Arts. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution as she served her country as a First Lieutenant overseas for 5 years, in which she cared for the injured in Great Britain, Italy, and Africa throughout WWII as a surgical nurse. On Wednesday May 2, 2012 at 12 noon, The Memorial Service will be held for Ernestine at Trinity Methodist Church Albuquerque, New Mexico, 3715 Silver Avenue SE 87108, (505) 266-8793. Food and Refreshments will be welcome and available. Same day following at 3:30 pm, The Funeral Services will be held at Fair View Memorial Park 700 Yale Blvd SE Albuquerque, NM 87113 (505)262-1454.
