Obituary of John Joe Romero

On Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 7:15 PM, John Joe Romero was called to his eternal rest by our loving Father, at the age of 76. He was born in the Hondo Valley, but lived most of his later years in Roswell and Tome. Mr. Romero lived a full-blessed life and was well loved by countless family and friends. He was a loving husband, caring father, loyal son and a dependable older brother. Mr. Romero was kind, honorable and hard working. He often opened his life and home to others, and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He will live in the hearts of his wife Christella Romero; his children, Billy, Martha and Aristotle Romero; his grandchildren, Nicholas Romero, David and Benny Flores, Flora Jauregui and Vencent Romero as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends. Upon his passing, Mr. Romero was ushered into the gates of Heaven by his father and mother, Aristotle Romero and Francisca Chaves; his brothers, George Romero and Antonio Romero; his sister, Micalita Sanchez; his brother-in-laws, Henry Sanchez and John Jauregui: who have preceded him in death. A bright light has gone from this earth, only to burn on forever in Heaven… A true Cowboy and Our Hero All services will be held at St. Jude Mission in San Patricio on Friday, February 21, 2014, beginning with recitation of the Rosary at 9:00 AM.
