Obituary of Charlotte B Sanderlin

Charlotte B. Sanderlin passed away peacefully at the age of 65 on September 22, 2013. In the comfort of her home with family by her side in Los Lunas, New Mexico. Charlotte was born in 1948 in Estelle Manor, New Jersey, to Othello and Geneva Lee. She was raised in Pleasantville New Jersey and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1966. She pursued a career in nursing starting in 1973 at Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Two years later, Charlotte became a L.P.N and worked diligently in the emergency room until '82. She obtained an Associate's Degree in Nursing at Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey in 1993 all while remaining on the Dean's List. In 2004 Charlotte enjoyed the Gathering of Nations pow-wow in the Land of the Enchantment and never left. She continued working as a registered nurse at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico from '04 to '09 she retired from Carrie Tingley Hospital Inpatient Unit. In her selfless ways she remained working at UNM Cancer Center for a brief while in 2011. Charlotte Sanderlin was predeceased by parents Othello & Geneva Lee, one brother William Hollie her sister Hannah, her husband Clifton Sanderlin, and two brother-in-laws Harrison Robinson & Juan Quintana. She leaves her memories as a loving mother to live on thru her three sons Ramon Davis, Richard Davis, and Brian Hollie Jr. & her two daughters Ranae Davis-Morse and Legeia Brown. Her brother Charles Lee, and two sisters Anna Quintana and Pearlina Robinson loved her whole heartily and will deeply miss her. Charlotte's sister-in-law Willie Mae Hollie & Gloria Lee as well as her brother-in-law Samuel Williams all from New Jersey knew of the caring, selfless, generous woman she was. Cherished greatly by her 16 grandchildren; Hakeem, Aliyah, Jasmin, Kamal, Abdul, Kiana, Gabriel, Kiairah, Kameron, Matison, Nayati, Jahnai, Kania, Sanuye, Nahjae, Raquiyyah, and one great granddaughter who shared the first twenty days on this Earth with her, Patience AKA (Turtledove). Charlotte, friend, daughter, sister, aunty, wife, mother, umi, grandma, nanna, and great grandmother loved travling and enjoyed camping. Charlotte was known for her smile that warmed many hearts, for she was and always will be Butterfly Medicine Woman.
