Obituary of Josephine Price Seery

Seery, Josephine (Jo) Price, (1945-2013)passed away on November 11, 2013 after a long ordeal with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Al Seery, her son Jerry Jennings, his wife Kay, grandchildren Samuel Jennings and wife Chloe and Victoria Jennings; her daughter Katherine Rieland and her husband John, and granddaughter Sophie Rieland; and her step-daughter Melissa Coash and her husband Pat, and step-grandchildren Claire Coash and Elise Coash. Jo married Jerry Jennings in Florida in 1963. They moved to Albuquerque in 1967. They had three children Jerry, Elizabeth (deceased) and Kathryn. She and Jerry divorced in 1987. Josephine lived in Bosque Farms for 37 years. She retired from the Second Judicial District Court in Albuquerque where she was employed in the data processing department as the Information Systems Analyst Manager. Prior to the court position, she also worked eight years at TVI as a computer science instructor. Jo married Al Seery in 1990. They shared a common interest in old Cars and together went to many car events and made many new friends. Josephine belonged to several car clubs and enjoyed the fellowship of the members. She was always ready for a new adventure or a party and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. For twenty-four years, she and Al hosted an Open House on Christmas Day where she entertained as many as 50 guests. Jo loved her grandchildren and spoiled them thoroughly. The latest grandchild, Sophie, was a welcome addition and Jo was very happy to have a new baby to cherish. She was a unique individual and will be missed. Her smile and distinctive voice were recognized everywhere. All services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Hwy. 47 in Peralta on Saturday November 16, 2013. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.
