He was preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite Swanson and Colonel Arthur V. Swanson. He was born on 9 March 1948 in Brooklyn, NY and lived in various places in the US and Europe as a military dependent until going to college. Michael went to Pennsylvania State University and moved to New Mexico after his graduation. He worked in a number of trades and was the chief engineer at different national chain hotels during his working years. His real passions were in literature, philosophy and metaphysics, plus he practiced yoga and tai chi during his life. Michael always felt his best life experiences were running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain; bicycling around Jamaica and hiking in New Mexico and Arizona. Michael lived life his way and practiced his beliefs in his honest and uncompromising manner. He will be missed by his family and friends. We hope his spirit attains the higher plane it sought in this lifetime during the next.
