Obituary of Mary Rose Tapia Martinez

Mary Rose Tapia, age 74, born September 16, 1939 in Las Vegas, NM, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2014. She loved dearly, she enjoyed life and her family, her neighborhood, Interfaith Bible Church and reading her Bible. Mary Rose will be greatly missed because God used her in such a profound way in teaching us all about Love, Forgiveness and Mercy. She is preceded in death by her husband, Zenon Martinez; parents, Matias and Ida Tapia, Felipita Romo; sister, Natividad Rozzi; brothers, Joe Romo and Leroy Romo and grandson JD Marti. Mary Rose is survived by her sons, Anthony Joe Dan Marti (Maria), Simon, Roger (Margaret), George and Philip; daughters, Patricia Atencio and Julie Zavala; grandchildren, Sheila Marti-Morgan, Sara Marti-Menezes, Hannah Martinez & Elijah Martinez, Alyssa Atencio, Querino Martinez, Angel Martinez, Sheila Edwards, Lilah Edwards and Daniel Ramirez; great-grandchildren, Kai, Westley, Elektra, Gabriel, Arissa, Santiago, Julian, Aliyah and Jasmine; sisters, Gloria Lucero (Fernando), Marie F. Martinez (Blas(d)), Marcie Baker, Maryann Benavidez (Stan), Connie Martinez (Andy), Rose Marie Nagle (John), Mary Jane Romero (Marian); brother, Clarence Romo. All services will be held at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque chapel, beginning with a viewing on Monday, May 19, 2014 at 5:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 with interment to follow at Fairview Memorial Park.
