Obituary of Emma Terrill Bostick

Bostick, Emma Terrill, age 95 born June 7, 1919 and passed away March 28, 2014 due to complications with an infection. Born and raised in Cananea, Mexico, she lived in Mexico City with her husband while he was engaged with AFTOSA in the eradication of hoof and mouth disease in Mexican Cattle. In 1952, the family moved permanently to the Tucson area. Primarily a homemaker, Emma worked briefly with the Mexican Consulate. Emma was a naturalized US citizen; but a highlight of her life was her participation in 2001 as a former Festival Queen to commemorate Cananea's Bicentennial Celebration. She was preceded in death by her husband John, and children Victor and Hilda. Her legacy of love continues through her children, Elma Simpson, Jeanette Bostick Andre, Paul, Daniel and Hugo and sisters Rose Munoz, Josefina Castro, Estella Burgos, Hortensia Arellano and Cecilia Rivera, as well as 13 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives. A Mass and Celebration of life will be held at Most Holy Trinity Church, located at 1300 N. Greasewood Rd. in Tucson Arizona, 85745 on April 25, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
