Andrew J. Valdez After a long battle with cancer Andrew passed away on March 11, 2007. Andrew was 75, born June 12, 1931 in LaJara, CO. He spent 20 years in the United States Air Force, served in Korea and Vietnam before retiring in Albuquerque, NM in 1970. Andrew is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Betty; children Jim and wife, Missy, Giles, Roberta and partner, Debra, Bobby, Mike and wife, Heather; grandchildren: Nicole Mayoros and husband, Rob, Michael and partner, Laura, Lexie and Jazmine; and one great-grandchild, Marissa; brothers: Alonzo, Joseph and wife, Marylou; sisters: Sister Anita and Margaret Dell Torre; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rosary will be held at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Albuquerque at 8 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007. Mass will be held at the same location March 17, 2007 at 8:45 a.m. Interment will be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe at a later date.
