Obituary of Marian Walkup

Walkup, Marian, 88, born September 8, 1924, passed away at her residence in Los Lunas, on Wednesday February 27, 2013. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Los Chavez, and was the owner of the first flower shop in Los Lunas for many years. Marion was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Batts, parents Robert and Grace Gill, husband Ellis Walkup, and son Davis Batts. She is survived by her sons Cecil Batts and his wife Patsy, and Allen Batts and his wife Susan; daughter Gloria Askew; many grandchildren; great grandchildren and brother, Robert Gill. Graveside Services will take place on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Park in Albuquerque with Brother Boyd Morerod officiating. Pallbearers will be Allen Batts, Cecil Batts, Daniel Batts, Clayton Batts, Aleq Ibarra, and Jason Askew. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Batts and Juan Fiechter.
