Obituary of Rita Fern West

Rita Fern West, age 68, born March, 29, 1945 in Oildale, California, joined our gracious Lord in heaven on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. First daughter of John and Fern Johnson, she had one brother, John and two Sisters Jeanne and Jackie. Rita married William West and had two wonderful children of her own. She is survived by Karen and her husband Andrew; John and his wife Jennifer; four beautiful grandchildren, Justin, Cheyenne, Ashley, and Cameron. She loved spending time with her family, she loved to read all kinds of different books and she loved Baby, her loyal King Charles spaniel. In her earlier years she dabbled in pottery and painted. One of her favorite pass times was shopping through thrift shops, and stopping by for a quick bite of some Chinese food. Rita loved attending the water aerobics at YMCA Albuquerque. Rita was an educational assistant for several years at her children's school, and some years later she managed Nations Burger Restaurants in Concord, Pleasant Hill, San Ramone, and Orinda, California. But when she wasn't at work or reading she spent a lot of time with her grandchildren. A memorial will be held on Sunday, October, 6 at 12:30 PM at Christian Fellowship Church, located at 3901 Claremont Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
