Obituary of Jonah Yazza

Jonah Yazza, Jr., a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012. Jonah was born June 15, 1931 in Albuquerque and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1949. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1953. Jonah later went to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs and became a Contract Specialist, a position that allowed him to travel all around the country. He retired from the BIA after more than twenty-five years' service. Jonah is survived by his son, Darrell; stepdaughter, Serena; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, located at 1801 Montano Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM.
