Obituary of Joaquin Leroy Chavarria

Joaquin departed this world suddenly and unexpectedly, leaving a void that can never be filled. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Silviano and Fedelina Vigil of Cerro, NM and Isabel and Consuelo Chavarria of Chihuahua, Mexico. He is survived by his parents, Ruben and Charlene Chavarria; two sons, Anthony Joaquin and Joaquin Christopher; sister Adelita (Dee Dee) Mead (Korey); nephew, Jesse Daniel Mead of Clarksville, TN, and half brothers Miguel and Lito Chavarria of Fruita, CO. Keno is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Joaquin graduated from Questa High school in 1993 and earned his Associates degree in Electrical Engineering from NMCC. He worked for Intel for many years and most recently was employed by Field Services Technology, with Hitachi HTA, where he was required to travel around the world. He seized every opportunity to explore and experience as many adventures and cultures as possible, meeting new friends wherever he went. He especially enjoyed traveling with his two sons, and took them with him every chance he could. He was known to family and friends as Keno, among many other aliases, but the one he enjoyed being called most was Dad. He will be missed and loved forever. Services will be held in Questa, New Mexico at the Living Word Ministries, 3082 NM 522 Questa, NM. Viewing and Prayer Service will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 5:00 pm. Keno's Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Cerro, New Mexico. Arrangements entrusted to: Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE (505) 764-9663.
