Obituary of Phillip R. Denwalt

Phillip Ray Denwalt Sr., age 72, passed away peacfully on Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home in Los Lunas, NM. He was born on December 6, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to GeorgeSr. and Malinda Denwalt. Phillip was a quiet, stubborn, soft-hearted, loving man. He was a family man; he always did whatever was necessary to provide for his family, including moving back and forth between Oklahoma and New Mexico for jobs. Phillip was strict, he ruled with an iron fist, yet he was gentle. He would always listen to everything you had to say. Phillip was very giving; it was always done in a way the receiver did not know he was giving until he had already helped them. Phillip always kept extra food to give the kids and grandkids, just incase they needed it, and often times they did. He always tried to be prepared to help, and did help, often in silence. Phillip loved animals and would always pick up a stray and take it home to care for it. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his son, Timothy Denwalt; four brothers, Willie Denwalt, Simon Denwalt, George Dewalt Jr., and John Denwalt. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Hill) Denwalt; his son, Phillip Denwalt Jr.; and his wife Chris; his daughters, Venus Donche and her husband Kenneth, and Diana Donohue and her husband Craig; two brothers, David Denwalt Sr. and Daniel Denwalt; nine gradnsons, David Denwalt and his wife Janena, Alex Denwalt, Levi Denwalt, Michael Gay, Andrew Denwalt, Justin Denwalt, Nathan Donche, Dakota Donche, and Timothy Humphries; twelve granddaughters, Jo Doty and her husband Levi, Natacia Denwalt, Sara Lucero and her husband Leroy, Renee Denwalt and her husband Brian, Kayla Inman and her husband Brandon, Tabatha Clayton and her husband Jack, Carrissa Donche, Shayla Donche, Ashley Donche, Chynna Donche, Shyanne Humphries, and Keira Donohue; and his twenty-eight great-grandchildren.
