Obituary of Cindy J. Gfeller

Cindy J. Gfeller, 67, of Albuquerque, NM passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at Robin House assisted living with her family by her side. She was born on Sept. 10, 1951 in Pekin, Il. Daughter of Tom (Thomas) and Bette Freres Berger. Was engaged to be married to Norman Veres. Surviving are her children Antje (Frank) Sandoval, and C. David (Christina) Hartig Jr. Also surviving is her father Thomas Berger and sisters Lori Dupree, Beth Berger, and Jennifer Sandoval. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was a student at Tenderlove Community Center and was in the first graduating class there. Got hired on as a sewing instructor after graduating, doing what she loved. She loved to read books, listen to music, color, crochet and be with her family. She was a very loving mother, daughter, memaw, and friend to all. She will be deeply missed. She was known for her smiles, love for everyone she came in touch with and her kind compassionate spirit. She always talked about wanting to be able to dance again. Well, she is dancing now! Cindy was preceded in death by her mother's, Bette Sundin and Marilyn Berger. A memorial/celebration of life will be held on Oct. 7th from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at the American Legion post 49, 11007 Central Ave NE, Alb., NM.
