Obituary of Bertha Vigil

On Monday, March 3, 2022, Bertha Vigil (Aragon), loving mother and grandmother entered the kingdom of the Lord at age 82.

Bertha was born on September 18, 1939, in San Miguel County to Pablo and Josefita Aragon (Martinez). Bertha raised her two children, Gerald, and Yvette and helped raise grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bertha worked most of her life as a CNA, caring for others and her family meant a lot to her. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, enjoyed crafting, cooking, baking and made the best desserts. She enjoyed going on car rides, watching the ducks at Tingly Beach, sightseeing, and loved going to Sonic to get her Route 44 Root Beer.

Bertha is survived by her two children, Gerald and Yvette, former husband, Celedonio Vigil, grandchildren, Cynthia, Crystal, Anna, great grandchildren, Matthew, Vincent, Gage, great-great grandchildren, Emma, Baby Ruben, Ava and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Pablo, and her mother Josefita, brothers Paul, Fili, Cruz, Alfonso, sisters, Louisa, Pita, Josie, Dora, and great-grandson, Ruben.

Bertha loved God and her family with all her heart. She was our cornerstone and will be deeply missed.
