Obituary of Carol Rose Smith

Carol Rose Smith born April 29, 1925, in Salt Lake City, Utah, died March 5th, 2022 at the age of 96 in Albuquerque where she had lived for over fifty years. She was preceded in death by her husband Lynn K Smith and her late-in-life companion Robert (Bob) Seller. She is survived by her sons Kirk J Smith and Mark W Smith and Mark’s wife Suzette Boudreaux, as well as Bob’s daughters Trudell [Bunn], Mary, and Frances [Montoya]. Carol was an avid reader who volunteered for many years at the Albuquerque Public Library mending and re-binding books, until the COVID 19 pandemic closed the libraries to patrons and volunteers. Carol was an exceptional conversationalist always up on current events across many disciplines. She was a very good listener and had a way of clarifying what was most important. Always generous and gracious, she lived completely independently until the last few months of her life, often entertaining friends and family at her home. She was a role model to all who knew her and a treasured friend to all who had the pleasure. A memorial will be held when friends and family can be convened. Please check RiversideFunerals.com for a date and time yet to be determined.
