Obituary of Simon Apodaca

Simon I Apodaca went to his eternal rest in the company of angels on Friday April 22nd, 2022 at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico

Simon is the fourth son of Twelve children, he is the son of Bernardino & Luisa Maria Apodaca. Simon was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Simon met his love of his life Gloria Rodriguez Apodaca in Santa Fe, New Mexico where they raised their family.

Simon loved spending time with his family, he was a proud family man. He was also a godly man who had a strong relationship with the church. He was committed to Queen of Heaven where he was an Usher as well as he served the Knights of Columbus for many years until he was unable too. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and dancing with his family as well as playing Zorro for the kids.

Simon is preceded in death by his father and mother, Bernadino and Luisa Apodaca; brothers Benny and Luis Apodaca and sisters Mary “Chona” and Georgia Apodaca along with many other family & friends.

He is survived by his wife Gloria Apodaca and Children; Simon & Monica, Laura, Anthony, Danny & Ernestine Apodaca: Grandchildren; Monique & Edward, Elisha & Jeremy, Zachary, Leon, Anthony, Danicia & Steven, Adrian, Esperanza, Mia, Gabriel and Michael Baldonado. Great grandchildren; Connor J Lipsiea, Liliana Varela, Isaac Martinez, Elliana G Apodaca; Brothers & Sisters; Frank Sandoval, Tessie & late husband Chris Quintana, Dorothy & Nick Wheeler, Dolores & Eloy, Pauline Joe & Carmela, Angie & Ricard Visarraga, along with many other family & friends.

Please join us at his memorial service on Thursday May 26, 2022 at 1:00pm MST. Service will be held at Riverside Funeral Home located at 225 San Mateo NE Albuquerque, NM 87108. Burial will take place immediately after at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
