Obituary of Stacy Anne Bishop

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Stacy Anne Bishop, loving wife, mother of two children and grandmother of two passed away peacefully at age 50.

Stacy was born on July 26, 1971 in Albuquerque, NM to Rosie Lee and Donald Cata. Stacy lived her entire life in Albuquerque where she attended school at Annunciation Catholic School, and graduated from Menaul High School. On June 24th, 2000 she married Darren Bishop. They raised two children, Meghan and Alex. Stacy worked for many years at Verizon.

Stacy had a passion for art, especially the works of Frida Kahlo. She enjoyed attending events with a local flair like the Balloon Fiesta, NM State Fair, and local car shows. She was an avid music lover and especially loved Edith Piaf and music from the 60s to today. Stacy also collected French artwork that she proudly displayed in her home. She was young at heart and known for her spirited charm. She enjoyed life to the fullest especially when spending time with her family.

Stacy was preceded in death by her father Donald Cata, and sister Cindy Cata-Gentry. She is survived by her husband Darren Lee Bishop, son Alexander Santino Bishop, daughter Meghan Rose Agosto and husband Ryan, grandsons Asher and Declan Agosto, mother Rosie Lee Cata, sister Lori-Lee Bourque and husband Kevin, niece Amy Bourque and husband Kevin Elder, nephews Christian Bourque, Sean Gentry and wife Hannah, Matthew Gentry and wife Alicia, grand-nephew Thomas Gentry, and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 at the Riverside Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM located at 225 San Mateo Blvd, NE followed by a reception at 1:00 PM at the Sangre De Cristo Community Hall located at 8901 Candelaria Rd NE. Flowers can be sent to Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque. Donations can be made to The American Diabetes Association.
