Obituary of Yvonne C Chavez

Yvonne C. Chavez, was born on October 31, 1971 and departed from her loving family on June, 27, 2022 at the young age of 50. She was preceded in death by the father of three of four of her children, Joseph M. Martinez II, her grandmother, Mary Dominguez, and her father Rudolfo Salazar Sr. Yvonne is survived by her loving children, DeVonne, Joseph III (Aubriana), Emmanuel, Harley May, her grandchildren, Joseph IV, Noellah, and Ezekiel. Yvonne will be missed dearly by her devoted mother Cecilia, stepfather Jorge, former spouse, Ronald, siblings, Rudy Jr. (Tracy), Leslie (Leroy), Amanda (James), as well as a great amount of other family members, will all remember her greatly.

Yvonne was born in Fairview, New Mexico. She later went on to graduate from Albuquerque Barber College in Albuquerque, NM to pursue a career in the self-esteem industry. Yvonne reaped significant rewards by making individuals feel better about themselves and their appearance. She loved her children and grandkids dearly and cherished spending time with them. Yvonne also enjoyed cutting hair for her family and friends, going for drives around town or in the city, watering her plants and flowers, shopping and dressing up, watching TV with her loved ones, and helping those in need. She also loved spending time with her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Yvonne loved her family and will always be remembered by her abundant amount of strength, beautiful spirit, willingness to help and contagious smile. God gave her 50 years of life on earth, and she is now resting forever in paradise, that we call heaven. We thank the Lord that He allowed Yvonne to live life on earth with us, as we will cherish the many memorable, unforgettable, and lasting memories.

A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 25th at Victory Faith Church in Española, NM. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 823 Angel Duran Dr., Española, NM 87532. Following the ceremony, Yvonne's life will be remembered and celebrated over food and refreshments at the Hernandez Community Center, located at 19418 A US-84, Hernandez, NM 87537.
