Obituary of John Palmer

On Sunday, June 26, 2022 John Palmer passed away at age 87.

John was born in Brooklyn, NY but soon moved to Summit, NJ.  After finishing his schooling there, he went to Boston to attend MIT.

After graduating as a mechanical engineer and spending 2 years in the army, he returned to Boston.

In 1960 he met his future wife, Patricia, a student at Simmons College.  They were  

Married in 1963.  In 1965 the family moved to Sudbury, MA and stayed there for 40 years,raising 3 children Alex, Suzanne  and Andrew.

Johns career as a mechanical engineer ended when founded Stone Lantern Publishing.  The main product was Bonsai Today magazine.

In 2003 John was able to sell the company.   Looking for a different landscape', he and Pat ended up in Albuquerque, NM.  There he expanded his interest in photography.

The next. 20 years they travelled to many National Parks and scenic places.  As a photo club member, he won many blue ribbons. And was able to sell many classic photos.

He is remembered mostly for his talent and sense of humor.
