Will be held Tuesday October 18th at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church

Albuquerque  NM 87108

 

Rosary at 10:30 am 

Mass following at 11:00 am

Reception following at my Moms residence 5500 Marble NE

A Private burial will be held on a later date

 

Ramona Mirabal was born in Bernalillo, NM to Frutoso and Ramonsita Chavez on October 11,1928 and raised by Margaret Chavez 

She married my Dad, Steve Mirabal on May 8th, 1948. They were married for 64 years they had 6 children: Robert Mirabal(Theresa),Diana Basquez(Rudy), Denise Aragon, Elva Lucero (Marlo), Margaret Romero (Dennis)and Stephen Mirabal(Sandra) and raised  Melissa Mirabal(Jon). She had 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She took care of so many Family members.

She was a great cook, her Friday night red chile enchiladas. Always made our Holidays special with her posole, her red chile and her biscochitos. Her biscochitos were the best! She enjoyed  crocheting and loved spending her time with our Dad at the Cabin in the mountains. She was a devoted Catholic. She prayed her Rosary till a day before she left us. Always Loved us all!  Mom's quote to us was   "We were all her Children and each one of us was Special we all help in different ways" She always sang to us and each of us had a Special song from her. She has enriched our life's and made us who we are today. We miss the Joy and comfort she gave to us all!
