Obituary of Alferes Feres Marquez

Alferes Miguel Marquez “Feres”, 26 of Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep peacefully at home on November 22, 2022.  Alferes was born on June 5th, 1996 to Gumaro and Jessica Marquez in Albuquerque.  After Alferes graduated from Rio Grande High School in 2015, he went into the trade of professional painting, which he mastered.

Feres was always the kindest person in the room. He always made sure to tell the people he loved, how much he loved them. Feres was a very outgoing person who loved to make everyone laugh, you couldn’t help but love his presence. He was a momma and a daddy’s boy, an amazing brother, boyfriend, and an even more amazing uncle, which he earned the nickname Uncle Teddy Bear. He enjoyed spending time at the horse races and watching sports.

Alferes was predeceased by his Grandfather Miguel Angel Marquez and his Uncle Alferes David Otero. Alferes is survived by his parents Gumaro and Jessica Marquez, Love of his life Brianna Chavez, 4 Siblings Sapphira Molina and Husband (Roy), Gumaro “Bebe” Marquez, Alejandro Marquez, Jocelyn Marquez, Niece Elena Molina, Nephew Roy Molina III, Godson Angel (Washo) Marquez, Grandparents Josephine Otero and David and Lina Otero, Grandma Hilda Marquez.

Services will be held on Tuesday December 6, 2022 at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 8301 Camino San Martin SW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.  Rosary will start at 11:00 am, Mass will follow at 11:30 am.  Interment will be at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery, 2957 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.
