Obituary of Janice Carrol Schouw

Janice C. Schouw, age 79, passed away at home on March 28, 2023.  Jan was born in Missouri, but her family moved to California where she spent most of her life and where she graduated from Lakewood High School. Her first job was as a secretary with McDonald Douglas and for those who can remember, there were no computers then; she took dictation using shorthand and used typewriters and carbon paper!  Computers weren't far from her future however, Jan soon started careers at Intel and Fujitsu.  Later she discovered her knack for networking and sales and she developed home-based businesses with Weekenders and Jockey.  It was these businesses where Jan flourished and established many life-long friendships.  She moved to Albuquerque in 2007 where her family lived or eventually moved to and where many memories were made and holidays celebrated.  Jan is survived by her daughter, Laura Armstrong; her son, Don Schouw, Jr.; her granddaughter, Brionni Schouw; and her brother, Daryl Gray, all from Albuquerque.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Doris Gray, as well as her beloved, Howard Broughton.  The family will be planning a Celebration of Life at a date to be announced.   She may have left her earthly bounds, but she will not be forgotten as she soars within heaven.
