Obituary of Veronica Contreras

Veronica Contreras, 97, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away at home on May 13, 2023 surrounded by her family.  Veronica was born on October 5, 1925 to Raymond Flores and Maria Martinez in Los Angeles, CA.
Veronica was preceded in death by first husband Rudy Ceballos in 1955 and second husband Samuel Contreras in 2022. 
In 1990, Veronica retired from Digital Equipment Corporation as an Electronic Inspector.  Veronica had a very exciting and active life.  She enjoyed fishing, hunting, sewing, crafting, traveling and spending time with family and loved ones.  She had a strong faith and was very active in her church at San Martin de Porres.
Veronica was preceded in death by her son Roy Ceballos, step-daughter Susana Duran, grandson’s Roy (Papa) Ceballos and Valentine Sandoval as well as great-granddaughter Vanessa Ceballos.  She was survived by her children Daniel Palomares, Henry and wife Rafaela Sandoval, Rudy and wife Marilou Ceballos, Deanna Ceballos, Veronica and husband David Espinosa and Maria and husband Juan Santiago as well as step-son Daniel and wife Melva Contreras.  She was also survived by many grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great grandchildren too numerous to count. 
Veronica was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and nana.  She was beloved by many friends whom she considered part of her family, who also lovingly called her mom or nana.  

We will miss her, but she will be forever in our hearts.
