Rose Salas, beloved mother, passed away peacefully at her home on December 2, 2023, at the age of 88, surrounded by her devoted family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and resilience that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on August 20, 1935, in Seboyeta, New Mexico, Rose was the cherished daughter of the late Jose M. Sena and Eumelia Sena. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1955, marking the beginning of a journey that would touch the lives of many.

Rose was not just a mother but a beacon of joy, always adorned with a smile that brightened the lives of those around her. Her kind-hearted nature knew no bounds, and she treated everyone she encountered with warmth and compassion.

As a mother, Rose was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support for her family. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love and laughter, where cherished memories were made.

Rose's journey through life was shared with her loving husband of 68 years, Eleyto Jim Salas. Together, they navigated the ups and downs, creating a bond that withstood the test of time. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love, and Jim will continue to hold her memory close to his heart.

Rose is survived by her devoted children, Debbie Flores and husband Martin, Mike Salas and life partner John Chronister, and Theresa Cordova and ex[1]husband Michael Cordova. Their love and support were a constant source of joy for Rose, and the memories they created together will forever be treasured.

Rose is also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Lueras and husband Anthony, Jesse Flores and wife Ranee, Brandon Cordova, Bryan Cordova, and Brittney Cordova. In addition, Rose is survived by her great-grandchildren, Michael Lueras, Marina Lueras, Kairi Flores, Keira Flores, and Owen Flores. Their laughter and innocence were a source of delight for Rose, and she treasured the moments shared with them.

Rose was the beloved sister of Delia, Suzie, Mela, and Lydia, along with her brother Paul, all of whom have preceded her in death.

In addition to her roles within the family, Rose was a volunteer Senior Companion for over 13 years, dedicating her time and heart to enriching the lives of those in need. Her legacy of love and kindness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Services to celebrate Rose Salas's life will be provided at a later date. The family will communicate details as arrangements are finalized.
