Obituary of Jesusita Gurule

Jesusita Gurule, age 80, was called Home by our Lord on the evening of Dec. 15th, 2023 surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.

Jesusita is preceded in death by her parents, her oldest daughter Erma Mojica and her youngest son Greg Gurule. She is survived by her husband Jose (Eduardo) Gurule, daughter Jane Gurule, Sons Edward and Johnny Gurule, and 3 grandkids Michelle, Danielle and Jesus Gurule, among many more grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids.

She was born and raised in Ojo Feliz, NM to father Rosalio Vigil and mother Antonia Trujillo. Her grandparents were a huge part of her life and raised her until young adulthood. Later in life she lived in Bernalillo with her husband Jose and grandkids. She loved going to the movies or out to eat. And she enjoyed doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. Her legacy is to be remembered as a strong, loving woman who cared deeply for her family. She will be missed dearly!

Honorary pallbearers- Jesus Gurule, Edward Gurule, Johnny Gurule, MJ Terrazas, AJ Alcon, Christopher Herrera. Jesusita has been cremated. A Catholic mass will take place Thursday January 25th at 10 am at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. A private burial will take place at a later date.
