Obituary of Henry M Sedillo
On Friday February 2, 2024, Henry M. Sedillo, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at the age of 85.
Henry was born on July 28, 1938, in Albuquerque, to father Jose Teodorio (Rosendo) Sedillo, mother Gonsagita (Padila) Sedillo, father Leo Sedillo, mother Manuelita Sedillo. He married his wife of 52 years on November 3, 1959. They raised one son and two daughters, Bernadette Hampsten, Henry R. Sedillo, and Terrie Dominguez (Mike). They had 9 grandkids, Christopher, Sabrina, Rachael (Martin), Rebecca (Joe), Renee (Bam), Reyanne, Ashlee, Michael, Autumn, and 8 great grandkids.
Henry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather He retired from the labors 412 union and spent his retirement years caring for his family. He loved being the family chauffeur, he drove his wife to work, his kids to their school functions and sporting events and grandkids to and from school. Henry loved dressing up to visit family and friends, he took a lot of pride in how he presented himself, you would never see him with a hair out of place, his shirt untucked or without his cowboy boots and fancy jewelry. Henry and Stella were a pair you would never see one without the other and they have reunited and are dancing together again. Henry was a loving father and taught his kids, Bernie, Henry, and Terrie how to be independent, self-sufficient, and to work hard to be successful. His granddaughters showed another side of him, he cared for all of them from infants to adulthood. He never missed an opportunity to support all their activities and he was always the first and last one there.
Henry was preceded in death by his father, Rosendo and Leo, mother Gonsagita and Manuelita, wife, Stella, grandson, Christopher, sister, Carmen, brothers, Nick and Jesus, and his only son Henry R. He is survived by his two daughters, Bernie, and Terrie (Mike), sisters, Della, Rita, Katie, Virginia, Molly; brothers, Johnny, George, and Leo; grandchildren, Sabrina, Rachael, Rebecca, Renee, Reyanne, Ashlee, Mikey, Autumn, great grandchildren, Mya, Max, Jordyn, Xenia, Stella, JoJo, Lorenzo, baby Henry and many other loving family members. We will miss his unconditional love and understanding heart. The impact he had reached far, and he had a special way of making you feel like you were his favorite.
If roses grow in heaven, Lord please pick a bunch for us and place them in my grandpa and grandmas’ arms and tell them they’re from us. Tell them we love and miss them and when they turn to smile place a kiss upon their check and hold them for a while. Twelve years later our two angels are dancing together again, we love you forever!
Pallbearers will be Mike Dominguez, Joseph Flores, Martin Montoya, and Joseph Acosta.
