Obituary of Richard Tapia

On Tuesday February 13, 2024, Richard “Cheech” Tapia, loving son and brother passed away at the age 30.

Richard was born on April 2, 1993 in Albuquerque, NM to Anthony Tapia and Donna Mendoza. He is survived by his sister Antoinette Mendoza nieces Fayth, Precious, Hope and Ivonnie. Richard had many uncles, aunts, cousins and many extended family.

Richard is known by many as Cheech. He was the life of the party, so full of energy, made everyone laugh with his bad jokes and just his smile or his smirks. Richard loved to travel, hang out with friends/family. He had a love of music always had a favorite one (which was many).

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 29, 2024 at Riverside Funeral Home at 10:00am. Flowers of donations may be sent to 225 San Mateo Blvd NE Albuquerque, NM
