Obituary of Alfred Chavez

 

Lawrence “Gator” Chavez went home to his Lord and Savior on February 21, 2024, at the age of 68. Lawrence proceeded in death by his Father, Alfred Chavez; Mother, Della Lopez; Grandmother, Gavina Archuleta; Godfather, Edward Travis; Godmother, Helen Ridley; and Brother Mark Waldrip.

 

Lawrence is survived by his Step-Father “Pops” Tony Lopez; Son Robert Chavez, his wife Rebecca Chavez, their daughters Ashley Chavez, Amanda Chavez, Alena Loya, their son Andy Loya, their grandson Winter Chavez; Son, Antonio Chavez; Daughter Lisa Chavez, her daughter Reihana Abbott, her son Joseph Abbott; Lawrence “Lole” Chavez, his Daughers Carla, Emma, Alejandra “Ali”, his sons, Jayden, Carlos, Andrew; Step-Daughter Teresa Swanson, her husband David Swanson, their daughters Annabel Marquez, Alecia Marquez, partner Preston Sutton, their granddaughter Evelyn Sutton; Step-Son Miguel Santana with Lisa Santana, their Sons Iaasiah Santana, Micheal Santana, Isaac Santana, their daughters Renee Santana West, wife Valarie West, Rachel Santana, Chelsea Santana, their grandsons Caiden Santana, and Jariah Sanchez; Others he treated as his own children, Andres Gallegos, Vanessa Gallegos, and Patrick Travis. Brothers Michael Chavez and his wife Dana Chavez; Charles Chavez and his wife Tina Chavez; Sisters Kymm Townsend and her husband Michael Townsend; Stacy Ring and her husband Richard Ring; Lori Chaparro; Sara king and her husband Doug King. And many friends and family that held a special place in his heart. 

 

Lawrence contributed many years serving our United States post office. Lawrence enjoyed spending his time at the casino and the racetrack as well as bowling and of course fishing at the lake. 

 

Lawrence enjoyed life and was always up for any adventure that came his way. You never saw Lawrence without a smile, a cigarette in his hand, and a beer in the other. He enjoyed going on trips with his family and discovering new places and adventures. 

 

Lawrence will be missed by all. Until we meet again “Gator”.
