Obituary of Bruce Eric Tomlin

Bruce Eric Tomlin (aka Tazz), born in Cincinnati, Ohio September 13, 1957 passed away Monday January 29, 2024 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Bruce was raised in Cincinnati, resided in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but his heart belonged to Houston, Texas. He loved the open road, football and playing the bass. Self-taught jazz and rock aficionado; Bruce spent hours learning each chord, proper finger position and technique.

Those that left before him, loving son Jimmy Paige Tomlin, Nancy Ann Redmon Mackey (mother), Gus Mackey (stepfather) and Lucius Farley (father).

Bruce leaves behind his brothers James Redmon and Shawn Mackey; sisters Barbara Daily, Robin Cardwell, Nikita Stewart (Larry), Javette Mackey, Javonne Mackey Dula, Kelly Burton (Terrell) and Dwan Mackey; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends. 

A small family viewing will take place March 4 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque Chapel, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE, (505) 764-9663. Bruce's ashes will be scattered at a later date in Houston and Galveston Texas.
