Obituary of Rose Rael Chavez

Our dear mother, Sister, family members, and friends, Rose Rael Chavez left this world to honor and join our Lord Jesus Christ. She passed away on 25 February 2024 at the Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque  N. M.  

Rose Chavez truly possessed the sweetness of a rose and was loved deeply by all. Many siblings and friends were present at the time of her passing.

She was the second child born in 1934 to Richard and Mathilde (Tillie)  Rael.  She married Willie Chavez in 1950, and together, they had, a beautiful family of 6 children and many grandchildren, and Great grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.  Rose now joins her husband William Chavez, daughter Tillie, and sons Richard and Ralph, Along with her partner of many years, Tony Salazar who in death predeceased  her.  

She also joins her siblings who predeceased in death by her: Angie Rael Saulsbury, Rita Rael Anderson, and Anthony Garcia Rael. Rose’s existing siblings are Brother Richard Garcia Rael And wife Alice Castillo Rael, Sisters Geneveieve Rael Reys, Louisa Rael Hocevar and husband Louis Hocevar ,and Helen Rael Giddens. Daughters Sara Chavez Ramirez  and husband Sal Ramirez, Vicktoria Chavez Korovlev and husband Dennis Korovlev,  Son William  Chavez and wife Anna Montano Chavez.  

Please join us in prayer Of love and thanksgiving for Rose’s life on Friday 8 March 2024  From 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo Blvd N.E., Albuquerque, NM.  Burial at Mt. Calvary at approximately 12:30 P.M. Followed by a reception at the American Legion Post 69, 9000 4th St. N.W.  Albuquerque, N.M.
