Obituary of Claudia Theresa Romero

Our sister, Claudia Romero, passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 67. She joins our parents, Cila and Ramon Romero, resting safely in peace.

One of the most significant accomplishments in our sister’s short life was the unconditional nurturing of her younger siblings, David, Robert, Rita Romero, and Martha Rose. She was there for our accomplishments and challenges always present, supportive, and giving. Blazing life’s path for us all, kindly sharing the lessons learned, mistakes made and the many, many dos and don’ts. Her effort, expertise and wisdom helped us navigate our young adulthoods and continues to be a source of support. Our sister gave us absolute love that will sustain for the rest of our lives.

Equally significant and truly a life achievement was the decades relationship Claudia had with her partner, Richard Ruminski. She was loving, respectful, loyal, and devoted to Richard. A constant source of companionship, joy, and support. Always present, always available, prepared to defend him right or wrong. She was true to him thru and thru.

Claudia rescued countless dogs and cats, fed every bird, squirrel, rabbit or other fortunate soul that crossed her path. None were chased off or ignored. She loved all living things and was compassionate and kind to every creature.

We know that our sister is in God’s memory now. “For I well know the thoughts that I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of calamity, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Claudia, we know one day you will have a beautiful life. You will forever live in our hearts. What is in the heart, never dies.
